In 2021 I was gifted some paper sample books and decided to start using them as sketchbooks as a way of learning some new and unique skills away from my screen. At first I was out of my comfort zone, but I quickly learned a lot about manipulating images using a photocopier, creating grungey textures with inks and sellotape, and collating collages from old forgotten piles of paper. I've now transferred some of these techniques into my typesetting, and often dabble with stop motion animations using my photocopier for a lo-fi aesthetic.
